Chapter 3: Types of support for CoP-facilitators and CoP members

Chapter 3: Types of support for CoP-facilitators and CoP members

In this chapter you will find basic information about the types of support available for INSPIRE CoPs. It provides information on the type of support that we provide to CoPs to promote inclusive gender equality in research and innovation. This takes two forms: 1) synthesised state-of-the-art research and 2) economic support. This chapter aims to help you make the most of INSPIRE support whilst also highlighting practical information about what the resources can be spent on and when the resources need to be spent by.

INSPIRE Support Packages

What are the INSPIRE Support Packages?

Support packages provide a flexible but standardised way to offer high-quality support to gender equality practitioners. Support packages combine reusable materials with on-demand support elements (e.g., expert advice). This mixed approach is the key to offer high impact yet scalable support. Five support packages are envisioned through the project's lifetime.

The five support packages are:

1: Setting up a Community of Practice (CoP) for equality work

2. Setting up an inclusive Gender Equality Plan

3. Boosting Impact

4. Sustaining and deepening change

5. Improving quality and equality in research and innovation

Each support package is developed by experts and practitioners in the field and aim to help CoP facilitators and CoP members push forward with inclusive gender equality in their organisation. Each support package combines:

- State-of-the-art research and useful resources

This is a summary of useful research and resources compiled by INSPIRE consortium partners and aims to be a valuable guide to help the CoP either set up a CoP, set up an inclusive gender equality plan, boost impact, sustain and deepen change or improve the quality and equality in research and innovation content.

- Economic support:

Each CoP will receive 10 000 euros worth of support. This can be spent on travel and accommodation of CoP members for face-to-face CoP meetings, or on experts, to provide trainings to CoPs in need of expert advice. In return for this assistance, we require each CoP to provide feedback on two support packages.

- Timings:

All economic support needs to be spent by March 2026.
